01Can I run this off a normal amplifier?
Yes. The thru position bypasses the transformer and presents 8 ohms nominal, so any standard amp channel drives it. The taps are only for 70V or 100V distributed lines.
02Is it actually waterproof?
It carries an IP-X5 rating, covering hose-strength water jets from any direction, plus salt spray, humidity and UV exposure. Mount it outdoors, but not submerged or where water pools.
03Do I need a subwoofer with it?
For music at normal levels, no — it reaches 40Hz. Add a sub only if you want deep low end for dance material or you're covering a very large space.
04Does the mounting hardware come with it?
