Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
JD-08 brings the JD-800 approach to a portable Roland Boutique synth, using component modeling of its circuitry and 108 digital waveforms. The original 64 presets are onboard, but the panel is also designed for direct programming of envelopes, LFOs, effects and four-partial sounds. A two-part, 64-step polyphonic sequencer with motion recording can develop layered passages, while the arpeggiator creates patterns on the fly. Battery or USB operation, speaker monitoring, MIDI I/O, USB and external clock input make it practical for both compact writing setups and connected studio use. A Decksaver cover is included.
