02How is the 51B different from the regular 51?
Same 1.010 inch rim. The 51 has a large bowl cup and J throat; the 51B has a medium-small B cup and smaller F throat, so it plays with more resistance.
03Can I use this on bass trombone?
It is a tenor size. The bass models in this line run much wider, from 1.090 inch on the 58 up to 1.143 inch on the 60.
04Will it help my high range?
The shallower cup and smaller throat take less air to fill, which supports the top. Endurance still comes down to how the rim sits on your lip.
