Same .675-inch diameter, same 27 throat, same shallow A cup and number 4 rim. The 15A4 uses a larger c-backbore for a more open feel; the 15A4a has a tight a-backbore.
03Does gold plating change the sound?
The cup, rim and throat shape the sound, and those are the same on both finishes. Plating changes the surface your lips sit on, not the dimensions.
04Will it fit my trumpet?
