Fender's American Acoustasonic Telecaster combines the Fender- and Fishman-designed Acoustic Engine with a fully hollow, all-mahogany Telecaster-form body. It supplies acoustic and electric voices that can stand alone or be blended with the Mod Knob; the Acoustasonic Noiseless magnetic pickup can operate at the same time. SIRS construction is designed for a naturally loud voice with lively harmonics, and the system is intended to cut out feedback for live acoustic playing.
