GibsonElev8 Underwound Humbucker Neck Pickup - Double Black

Since inventing the original Patent Applied For humbucking pickup in 1955, Gibson has continued to refine the voice of the humbucker through new materials, winding techniques and evolving designs. As part of the innovative Elev8 family, the Gibson Elev8 Underwound humbucker neck pickup takes a different approach to modern performance, pairing a powerful Alnico 8 magnet with custom-gauge wire and a purposefully underwound design for greater openness, articulation and dynamic response. Designed to complement the standard Elev8 bridge pickup, it delivers a versatile neck voice that blends vintage-inspired warmth and expression with the clarity, precision and focused response of Gibson's next-generation Elev8 platform. Underwound Alnico 8 Design for Open, Articulate Tone The Elev8 Underwound's carefully calibrated 8k winding delivers exceptional note separation, touch sensitivity and expressive dynamics while preserving the tight low-end response that defines the Elev8 family. Wax-potted construction helps minimize unwanted microphonic feedback, while 4-conductor wiring supports a variety of switching options, including coil splitting, for expanded tonal flexibility. Whether you're playing warm, articulate cleans or expressive lead passages, the Elev8 Underwound delivers a responsive neck voice with outstanding clarity and definition. Paired with the standard Gibson Elev8 bridge pickup, it creates a versatile modern/vintage combination that balances expressive warmth with focused power and precision.
