The guitar features Reflectone pickups designed in collaboration with Rupert Neve, producing clear and articulate tones. Its slim C-shaped maple neck provides a comfortable feel for steel-string players transitioning to electric. Additional features include a newly designed alder body, maple fingerboard, medium stainless-steel frets and Gotoh locking tuners to keep the PACS+12M in tune through extended playing sessions. Yamaha Acoustic Design technology provides a well-balanced tone, while the guitar's Southern California-inspired finishes add vibrancy. For easy transport to gigs, a padded gig bag is included. Alder Body Resonates Nicely With Great Acoustic Properties Alder is prized as an electric guitar body wood for its balanced resonance and clear, full-bodied tone. The PACS+12's alder body bolsters its acoustic properties and helps it sing with rich sustain. Yamaha leverages their Acoustic Design technology to ensure the PACS+12 is well-balanced across the tonal spectrum. You'll love feeling the body vibrate against you as you dig into the strings. The PACS+12 is also lightweight enough for comfortable playing over extended periods. Its smooth contoured edges make it feel great when strapped on. Slim Neck Profile Comfortable for Steel-String Players Transitioning to Electric The PACS+12M features a slim C-shape maple neck optimized for comfort, ideal for steel-string acoustic players migrating to electric. The slim profile provides a familiar feel and makes it easy to play chords and scale patterns across the maple fingerboard. Medium stainless-steel frets allow for smooth, precise fingering of notes with a pleasing resonance. The smooth satin finish on the back of the slim neck enhances playing comfort, avoiding "stickiness" during fast runs up and down the neck. HSS Pickup Configuration With 5-Way Selector Provides Versatile Tonal Options The versatile HSS pickup configuration of the PACS+12M lets you access a wide range of tones perfect for any musical genre. Choose from the Reflectone humbucker in the bridge position, Reflectone single coils in the middle and neck positions or combine pickups in various ways using the 5-way selector switch. The humbucker delivers a thick, sustained tone that's great for hard rock and metal. The single coils have a crisp bite perfect for country, funk or jazz. With the 5-way selector, you can blend the pickups to craft your own signature sound. The push-pull coil split switch adds even more tonal variety, allowing you to split the humbucker for single coil-like tones. Reflectone Pickups Designed With Rupert Neve Produce Clear, Articulate Tones The PACS+12M is equipped with Reflectone pickups designed in collaboration with the legendary Rupert Neve. The Reflectone pickups capture the guitar's natural acoustic tone and accurately translate each subtle nuance into an amplified signal. Notes ring out with exceptional clarity across the entire frequency range. The balanced tone of the Reflectone pickups allows your originality to shine through. Whether you want to stand out in a mix or record directly, the Reflectone pickups provide the transparent, authentic tone you need. Gotoh Locking Tuners Keep the Guitar In Tune The PACS+12M is equipped with Gotoh locking tuners to keep your guitar sounding pitch-perfect. The tuning machines maintain proper string tension, preventing the guitar from slipping out of tune during performances or long practice sessions. The locking design minimizes string slippage so you can play with confidence knowing the PACS+12M will stay in tune song after song. Tune the guitar quickly and accurately with the precise 18:1 tuning ratio of the Gotoh tuners.
